Sunday may be a day of rest, but not for Armenian pop sensation Iveta Mukuchyan.

On July 19 the “LoveWave” singer put on a leggy display at the Armenian Street Festival in London, slipping into a perfectly peachy playsuit as she wowed the crowds with a five-song set that included her Eurovision 2016 song, a new Armenian-language single and a cover of “Sweet Lovin'”.

Afterwards the Yerevan-born beauty cozied up to wiwiblogger William at her luxury hotel to discuss her time in Stockholm, Justin Timberlake’s reaction to her performance and her to-be-revealed role at Armenia’s national selection contest for Eurovision 2017.

Earlier this month we learned that Armenia is poised to stage its biggest national final for Eurovision ever, with the show broadcasting over several months this fall.

Iveta revealed exclusively to wiwibloggs that she and Aram Mp3 — Armenia’s 2014 act — will take part in some capacity.

“We’re going to have the national finals in Armenia and Aram Mp3 and I are going to be involved in that,” she said.

She can’t be more specific at this point, but her comments open the possibility that the pair may host, compose songs, mentor acts or even serve as jurors.

One thing is certain: They’ll continue to help each other with their independent music projects.

“We’re good friends and we always see each other in the studio and he’s coming with new songs and I’m telling him, ‘This is good and not good’ and he’s giving me advice…I’ve still got songs from Aram Mp3 that I really want to write the lyrics for.”

Iveta was the last act to perform during the grand final, but says waiting through 25 other performances wasn’t a burden in the slightest.

“It was an honour to be the last one, to be closing this whole Eurovision thing,” she says. “I think it was an honour. I had longer time than the others to put my lipstick on.”

And what about Justin Timberlake congratulating her after her performance?

“It was amazing. Unortunately after that I got no call from him. But I can live with that.”

Naughty, naughty, Justin…

Finally, and perhaps most exciting for us, was the fact that Iveta’s family watch wiwibloggs on YouTube.

“My mom and my sister were watching you and my mom loves you,” Iveta tells us. “She’s like the No. 1 follower of wiwibloggs. I took a picture and sent it to you on Twitter!”

First Mama Mukuchyan gives us Iveta, and now she gives us this. Thank you, dahling!

Why does Armenia need a national final? Usually their internal selections (besides 2015) are pretty good.

Armenia is almost always one to watch in Eurovision (yes I also like their 2015 entry :P). I only did not like their 2013 entry. In my opinion it deserved to stay in the semis especially noting that there were Israel and San Marino that did not qualify. They understand staging and their songs feel authentic to them.
