In the wake of her Eurovision victory, Conchita Wurst has been the subject of a flurry of news activity, involving topics as diverse as a bearded lady saint, the 2014 floods in the Balkans, and Spain’s World Cup failure. Well now she’s entering the world of gaming. Fans of the popular game Minecraft have produced a Conchita Wurst skin, which can be used by by players as their character.
Minecraft, which boasts an impressive 33 million users, has been available for download since 2009. It’s an “open world” game, so users wander the landscape and get involved in an infinite number of scenarios, without any specific goal. The Conchita Wurst skin has two versions, one can be downloaded here and the other here.

Conchita represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, with the song “Rise Like A Phoenix” and won with 290 points. You can see her grand final performance below:

Hi Robyn No I haven’t looked at the financial side of Eirevision and the songwriters I have suggested. But I am only throwing out suggestions.However, I think that RTE should really put a serious investment into my new show. Also, do you know the way the public broadcasters (Eg: RTE, BBC, SVT) have to pay the EBU to take part in the Eurovision. Well it will be the same for countries watching and voting in Eirevision. My letter to Michael Kealy regarding Eirevision has been written and NOW…., I only have to print out my work on my Dad’s printer (My Mum doesn’t have one), send it off to RTE and then I am finished and jetting off to Torremolinos next Thursday for 9 days (I’ll blog when I arrive at my hotel.).
Hopefully there will be a letter in the door from RTE when I get home on the 12th of July.
